What is the Comenius Project - European Cooperation on School Education?

Comenius School Partnerships aim at enhancing the European dimension of education by promoting joint co-operation activities between schools in Europe. The projects give pupils and teachers in different countries an opportunity to work together on one or more topics of mutual interest. 






Our school was approved for participation in a Comenius project under the Socrates programme in June 2006. The project started in September 2006.
Main aim of this project is to allow our pupils to understand each other better through discovering and comparing different natural and cultural environment and thus enlarge the European perspective. They will acquire concrete knowledge on the historic heritage and the contemporary society in the partner school regions. It shapes the right attitude towards environment and develops the spirit of understanding and mutual respect in promoting the acceptance and tolerance of the diversity of cultures and people.

Our pupils by studying, searching, and practical activities will recognize the importance of the environment and the relation between man and environment throughout the years.
